OVERVIEW
The Rutgers University Programming Association (RUPA) is a university-wide student programming council known for their diverse range of events including comedy shows, concerts, bed races, and more. Due to COVID restrictions, the client decided to launch their annual Beats on the Banks concert virtually along with several other concerts and moderated Q&As. Artists, comedians, and personalities in the lineup included Cheat Codes, Rico Nasty, The Aces, Jonathan van Ness, and Chloe Fineman.
The client requested a colorful design that highlighted the artist or personality while delivering the details of the event as simply as possible.
I used several iterations of a duotone effect to help contrast the subject against their background while keeping the graphics colorful. The client’s signature color is purple, so all the featured subjects are also variations of the same color. This color choice also allowed visually cohesive across the entire graphic series.
The client also requested several dimensions of each graphic to post on social platforms.
